Capturing the spirit of a school...

I had the pleasure these past few months of working once again with Sunnybrook School. A great group of people to work with! The assignment this time was to create a promotional video for the school. The video would certainly give facts about the institution, but more, the intent was also to create an engaging experience that would give the viewer a feel of the school itself…what it’s like to be a Sunnybrook student.
I spent numerous days filming at the school…different events on the social calendar as well as interviewing parents, students and teachers. I also went “off campus” and filmed the students engaging in such activities as rock climbing and curling. These are some lucky kids. They are also some of the nicest kids I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
After the filming was complete I set to work on bringing it all together. This included creating an original music composition to support the video. It was a long editing process…wanting to bring forward the very best of Sunnybrook. I wanted to make sure the story was told by not only the staff, but the students and parents as well…to give an all encompassing snapshot of the school.
As for the final result…you be the judge!
